Steele Auto Group ends relationship with ALL EV Canada

Steele Auto Group, the largest dealership in Atlantic Canada, has announced the termination of its partnership with ALL EV Canada after less than two years. The decision, made public via social media, is set to take effect on June 1. ALL EV Canada, established in 2019 as specialists in pre-owned Teslas and EVs, operates one location each in Halifax and New Brunswick, focusing on EV education. Steele Auto Group cited dwindling demand for EVs in the market as the primary reason for discontinuing the business. Despite efforts to deliver exceptional quality and maintain client relationships since acquiring ALL EV in July 2021, sustaining operations profitably has become increasingly challenging. The group assured customers of continued support and expertise within their dealer network post-discontinuation. Expressing gratitude to the ALL EV team for their dedication, Steele Auto Group emphasized the invaluable knowledge gained in the journey towards an electric future. Christina Wood, Marketing and Communications Manager, declined further comments on the matter. Notably, two founders of ALL EV Canada departed a year ago, while one remains with Steele in a technical advisory role. Initially hailed as an exciting step towards EV adoption, Steele Auto President Kim Day highlighted the benefits of the partnership, leveraging ALL EV's expertise and passion. Jeff Farwell, former CEO of ALL EV Canada, echoed enthusiasm for accelerating EV adoption in Atlantic Canada through education and expansion of EV centers. However, market dynamics have led Steele Auto Group to reevaluate its strategy, emphasizing the complexities of sustaining EV operations amid changing demand patterns.
