A new industry-led initiative, Agora, aims to simplify electric vehicle (EV) charging across Canada by enabling users to access any public charger with a single account. Led by ChargeHub, The Electric Circuit, and BC Hydro, along with 12 other industry partners, Agora seeks to address a critical issue hindering greater EV adoption.
The initiative, launched recently, envisions a seamless roaming experience for EV charging networks through a unified and secure platform. By consolidating all charging management into one account, Agora aims to enhance the overall charging experience for both the industry and drivers.
Simon Ouellette, CEO of ChargeHub, highlighted the importance of providing the best charging experience amidst the growing public charging networks. Agora's goal is to foster collaboration within the industry and facilitate the widespread implementation of EV roaming, ultimately advancing the accessibility and convenience of EV charging nationwide.
