Korean parts manufacturer Bobaek America is investing $35 million into Windsor, Ontario, creating 144 jobs, with the Ontario government contributing $1.5 million towards the project. The 71,000 square foot manufacturing facility, scheduled to open in June 2024, will specialize in producing battery insulation panels and cell sheets for electric vehicles (EVs). Equipped with advanced machinery such as pressure-molding and sensor-cutting machines, tape assembly lines, and 3D measuring equipment, the factory aims to bolster Ontario's auto and manufacturing sectors. Vic Fedeli, Ontario's Minister of Economic Development, Job Creation, and Trade, emphasized the government's commitment to fostering an environment conducive to attracting multinational companies and stimulating economic growth in the province.
