Project Arrow 2.0: bigger, better, designed to strengthen Canada’s EV ecosystem

Project Arrow 2.0 aims to build upon the success of its predecessor by producing a series of 10 to 20 vehicles featuring upgraded technology and new suppliers. The initiative, led by the Automotive Parts Manufacturers' Association (APMA), endeavors to address Canada's electric vehicle (EV) ecosystem challenges and foster discussions about the future of Canadian-made electric vehicles. The original Project Arrow prototype garnered attention with its distinctive features, such as maple hardwood floors and cold weather adaptations, showcasing Canadian innovation in the EV sector. With Project Arrow 2.0, the focus shifts towards sparking conversations and advancing Canadian automotive manufacturing capabilities in the electric mobility space. Flavio Volpe, president of APMA, highlights the evolution of the project, emphasizing the quest to define a uniquely Canadian automotive identity while embracing technological advancements and collaborations with new suppliers. Through this initiative, Project Arrow aims to contribute to the growth and development of Canada's EV industry, positioning the country as a key player in the global electric vehicle market.
