LG ELECTRONICS EXPANDS EV CHARGING BUSINESS TO CANADA

LG's entry into the Canadian market is driven by the growing adoption of electric vehicles (EVs) across the country and the Canadian government's commitment to reducing carbon emissions. This presents an opportune moment for LG to introduce its premium charging solutions tailored to meet the evolving needs of consumers and businesses alike. To address the increasing demand for EV charging infrastructure, LG has commenced the assembly of advanced Level 2 11kW chargers at its Texas factory. Additionally, production of 175kW fast chargers is slated to begin in the first half of the year, with plans to introduce a Level 3 350kW ultra-fast charger by 2024. This expansion of LG's EV charger lineup aims to cater to diverse customer needs, particularly in sectors such as commercial travel and long-distance transportation. LG smart chargers embody cutting-edge EV technology, offering efficient, reliable, and convenient charging solutions. These chargers empower various establishments, including hotels, restaurants, transit hubs, shopping centers, and residential or commercial buildings, to set their own charging rates and potentially generate profits while scaling their charging networks to meet local demands. Moreover, LG's charging solutions present an opportunity for businesses, municipalities, and public spaces to support their electrification strategies by deploying independently owned and operated charging stations. These stations not only create new revenue streams but also serve as additional branding platforms, with the option for an integrated digital screen. By introducing its advanced charging solutions to the Canadian market, LG aims to contribute to the widespread adoption of electric vehicles while providing innovative and sustainable charging infrastructure solutions for consumers and businesses across the country.
