J.D. Power to discuss gap between Canada-U.S. EV consideration on June 29

According to J.D. Power's 2023 Canada Electric Vehicle Consideration (EVC) Study, the disparity between Canadian and American consumers considering electric vehicles (EVs) has increased compared to the previous year. In 2022, the gap was merely 2%, but by 2023, it had widened. The study reveals that 21% of Canadians are very likely to consider purchasing an EV, as stated in a news release by J.D. Power. The survey, conducted online, captures perspectives not only from current EV owners but also from the majority who haven't yet adopted EVs. J.D. Ney, Automotive Practice Lead in Canada, will discuss key findings in a webinar scheduled for 2:00pm ET on June 29. The full study will be publicly released on the same day. For dealers unable to attend the webinar, Canadian Auto Dealer will review the study and share insights via its newsletter and website on June 30. This data underscores the evolving attitudes towards EV adoption in Canada and highlights the need for continued analysis and engagement within the automotive industry.
