FLO is partnering with Hubject and WiTricity to introduce Plug & Charge technology and more....

Charging network operator FLO is leading the charge in collaborative efforts to bring wireless charging and Plug & Charge technologies to its network of electric vehicle (EV) chargers. Through partnerships with WiTricity and Hubject, FLO is pushing the boundaries of EV charging innovation. They are currently testing wireless EV charging with WiTricity's Halo system, which uses magnetic resonance to allow EVs to charge simply by parking over a pad, eliminating the need for cables. FLO is also teaming up with Hubject to introduce Plug & Charge technology to its Ultra fast chargers, enabling billing and charging authorization directly from the vehicle, making the charging process more seamless and convenient for EV drivers. These endeavours reflect FLO's dedication to advancing EV charging technology and providing the best possible charging experience.

In addition to its collaborations, FLO's commitment to supporting various connector types in North America, including wireless options for future vehicles, demonstrates its forward-looking approach to EV charging infrastructure. With efforts like these, FLO aims to contribute to the growth of the EV industry and promote efficient, easy, and safe charging experiences. Their forthcoming Ultra fast chargers, expected to charge most EVs to 80% in just 15 minutes, further underscore their commitment to enhancing the accessibility and convenience of electric vehicle charging. Production of these chargers is scheduled to commence in early 2024, marking another milestone in FLO's mission to revolutionize EV charging.
