Aviva Canada expands access to EV charging stations through joint initiative

Aviva Canada, in collaboration with Earth Day Canada, is expanding its Charged for Change program to enhance access to electric vehicle (EV) public charging stations across the country. With an additional $1 million in funding, the program aims to install Level 2 EV chargers in underserved communities nationwide. During the first year of the program, Aviva Canada and Earth Day Canada successfully deployed new charging stations in seven communities across Ontario. These include the Town of Pelham, the Township of Selwyn, the County of Prince Edward, the Town of Thessalon, East Ferris, the Township of Manitouwadge, and the Township of Essa. Notably, some of these communities installed their inaugural public EV chargers with funding provided through the Charged for Change program.

The expansion of the program underscores Aviva Canada's commitment to promoting sustainable transportation and reducing carbon emissions by facilitating the adoption of electric vehicles. By increasing access to EV charging infrastructure in underserved areas, the initiative aims to make electric vehicle ownership more accessible and convenient for Canadians across the country. Through partnerships with local communities and organizations like Earth Day Canada, Aviva Canada endeavors to drive positive environmental change and contribute to the development of a cleaner, greener future for all.
