Aviva Canada expands access to EV charging stations through joint initiative

Aviva Canada is expanding its Charged for Change program in collaboration with Earth Day Canada, aiming to enhance access to electric vehicle (EV) public charging stations across the country. An additional $1 million in funding will be allocated for Level 2 EV chargers in underserved communities as part of this initiative.

In the initial year of the program, seven communities in Ontario, including the Town of Pelham, the Township of Selwyn, the County of Prince Edward, the Town of Thessalon, East Ferris, the Township of Manitouwadge, and Township of Essa, received new charging stations. Notably, some of these communities established their first-ever public EV chargers with the funding provided by the program. The expansion of the Charged for Change program reflects a commitment to advancing EV infrastructure in communities that may have limited access to such facilities, contributing to the broader goal of promoting sustainable transportation and reducing carbon emissions in Canada.
