Alectra Utilities and Hydro One are now providing customers with the opportunity to enroll in the Ontario Energy Board's ultra-low overnight (ULO) electricity pricing plan ahead of the November 1st deadline. This plan, structured around the time of day when electricity is consumed, offers significantly reduced rates during overnight hours, making it particularly appealing for electric vehicle (EV) drivers.
Brian Bentz, President and CEO of Alectra, highlights the benefits of this rate option, stating that it rewards EV users and encourages shifting general electricity usage to off-peak periods. Moreover, the ULO plan helps alleviate strain on the grid during peak times, contributing to grid stability and efficiency.
