Nissan's highly anticipated all-electric crossover, the Ariya, faced delays but finally debuted for the 2023 model year to mixed reviews, deemed average and pricey. In response, Nissan revised the offering for 2024, recently announcing pricing adjustments. The 2024 lineup sees the removal of the Venture+ trim, previously known for its longest range of 489 km (304 miles). Now, the Evolve+ FWD variant, priced at $62,998, offers a slightly reduced range of 465 km (289 miles), becoming the new longest-range Ariya.
Although the reduced range may disappoint some consumers, the more significant impact is likely from the pricing adjustments. The 2024 Evolve+ is $2,000 cheaper than its predecessor but remains $3,500 pricier than the now-absent Venture+. Consequently, despite changes in features and options, consumers are generally getting less range for a higher price.
