2024 Nissan Ariya EV starts at $52,998 in Canada

To put it mildly, after the model's announcement about three and a half years ago, Nissan's sleek, new all-electric crossover, the Ariya, was eagerly awaited. Although it took longer than expected to get on the market for the 2023 model year, there are a number of reasons for this delay. Reviewers of the initial model said it was expensive overall and mediocre at best, but Nissan updated the model for 2024 and released its pricing in late January.

Some revisions to the 2024 Ariya lineup could or might not improve the take-rate of the electric SUV. The Venture+ trim is no longer available. It was originally the model with the longest range in the inventory for this electric crossover, with a range of up to 489 km (304 miles) on a single charge. With its elimination, the longest-range Ariya is now the Evolve+ FWD, which costs $62,998 and has a range of 465 km (289 miles).

Although some people might object to the lowered range, the price change is probably going to have a bigger effect. Although the 2024 Evolve+ costs $2,000 less than its predecessor, it is still $3,500 more expensive than the Venture+, which is no longer available. Customers will therefore typically receive less range at a greater price, even though the feature and option mix may have changed.
